Marco Drums

Drums, music and experiences.

A personal project born to revisit songs, play the drums and share a bit of that experience through every video.

About Marco Drums

Playing for fun. Recording what's worth keeping.

Marco Drums is a personal drum cover and drumming project. It started with a simple idea: play for fun and record some of the songs that have been part of my life.

What began as a hobby gradually took on recording, video, lighting and production. Each song became a small experience, with its own mood and its own way of being shown.

Today, that's exactly what the project is: playing, experimenting, producing and sharing.

Marco Drums

A hobby taken seriously.

I'm not a professional musician, and the project doesn't try to look like something it isn't.

I play because I love drums and music. And I care about every detail because the experience of watching deserves that care.

How it all started

A short story, still in progress.

  1. 01

    The drums

It all started back in high school, when a few friends and I formed a rock band and began playing shows around the region. Eventually, we each went our separate ways, and the drums were put on hold for more than ten years, until I decided to start playing again for fun, to keep learning, and to experience it all once more.

  2. 02

    The idea

When I returned to the drums, I also felt the urge to capture some of the songs I enjoy and turn those moments into videos. Not with the intention of making it a profession, but as a way to learn, experiment, and share a little of what happens behind each song.

    Marco Drums

That's how @omarcodrums came to life — a space to share music, drums, and the experiences that come along the way. A project to document this new chapter, keep learning and, hopefully, inspire others who might also feel like starting something of their own.

  4. 04

    Today

Today, each song becomes a new experience, from the initial idea to the finished video. The project has continued to evolve, bringing new lessons and greater attention to every detail, but the reason behind it remains the same: playing because I enjoy it and having fun along the way.

Behind the videos

Every song becomes a new experience

This isn't technical documentation. It's just to show there's a process, and that it's part of the fun.

  1. 01

    Performance

Every song starts at the drums. Before recording anything, you have to know the song and play it.

  2. 02

    Audio

Multitrack recording and individual production of the instrument, so the drums sound the way they should.

  3. 03

    Video

Different angles and editing to build the experience of watching, not just listening.

  4. 04

    Visual

Lighting and sets that follow the mood of each song.
